This June, UTSTESTER organized a team-building trip to Xiamen for all employees, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the local culture of Southern Fujian and enjoy a relaxing break from their busy work schedules. The atmosphere throughout the event was lighthearted and joyful, fully showcasing the positive and upbeat spirit of the company’s employees.

The first stop on the itinerary was the Xiamen Botanical Garden, a iconic natural destination in Xiamen that combines plant appreciation with educational and recreational activities. Employees wandered in groups through palm groves, succulent gardens, and the rainforest world, observing rare plants up close and experiencing the unique charm of tropical natural landscapes. They paused frequently to take photos and relax their minds and bodies amidst the fresh air rich in negative ions.

Savoring authentic Minnan cuisine was the highlight of the trip. At lunchtime, the entire group gathered at a specialty Minnan restaurant. From the fragrant and rich ginger and sesame oil chicken to the chewy and delicious garlic-infused clay pot prawns, and from the deeply flavorful steamed pork ribs with taro to the refreshing and appetite-cleansing cold dish of crispy pig’s tongue with chili and Sichuan pepper—one classic Minnan dish after another had everyone feasting to their hearts’ content. During the meal, employees discussed the flavors of the dishes and shared amusing anecdotes from their daily lives, effectively fostering communication and mutual understanding among colleagues.

The afternoon visit to the flower and bird market allowed everyone to experience the vibrant local atmosphere of old Xiamen. Street-side shops were filled with all kinds of fresh flowers, intricately shaped potted plants, and whimsical aquatic pets, creating a rich sense of everyday life. Colleagues strolled in small groups, selecting their favorite flowers and small decorative items, and relaxed as they wandered through the laid-back alleys.

As the day drew to a close, everyone headed to Huangcuo Beach to watch the sunset together. As the setting sun painted the sky red and the sea shimmered with light, the beach was filled with the sight of everyone walking side by side and the sound of laughter. With the sea breeze caressing our faces and the setting sun as our companion, all our stress melted away in that moment.
